Accessable only by ferry (included in rental) Melrose Plantation on Daufuskie Island looks out on the Harbortown Lighthouse of Hilton Head as if to brag about its 3 miles of unspoiled and uncrowded beach, its theraputic pace (there are very few cars on Daufuskie - transportation is by golf cart only - included), its 4 hour rounds of worldclass oceanfront golf on Melrose or Bloody Point, or the pod of dolphin that plays along the shore.

Daufuskie is a very special place. There are few cars, few restaurants and few people on the island. Because we want you to have the vacation you desire, please keep this in mind as you make your decision. The gourmet kitchen in the villa serves as a great family gathering spot, but if you're looking for a complete vacation from cooking, or looking for a wide variety of restaurants, this may not be the place for you. Of course, you can always take a ferry back to Hilton Head for dinner (and a dose of madness) if you'd like.
